The glossy, just-applied look
A wet set uses closed or spiked fans placed so the lashes group together in small clusters rather than fanning out evenly. That grouping is what creates the wet, glossy effect — lashes look as though mascara has just been applied and has not yet dried. It is a styling choice more than a density choice: the same number of extensions arranged differently reads as sharper, darker, and more textured.
Who this service suits best
It is for clients who want a bold, defined lash line and like a slightly editorial finish. If you have always liked how your lashes look immediately after mascara, this is the set that keeps them that way. It suits people who want their lashes noticed. Anyone after a soft, invisible enhancement should look at a classic or half set instead.
What your appointment looks like
Your artist builds and places the spiked clusters by hand, deciding spacing as the lash line develops — the rhythm of the spikes is what makes or breaks this style. You lie with your eyes closed throughout. Curl and length are chosen for your eye shape so the effect stays flattering rather than merely dramatic. The $50 deposit goes toward the $170 price.
How the results wear
Three to four weeks. Because the look depends on deliberate spacing, a wet set shows shedding a little more visibly than a uniform set does, so it rewards prompt refills. Keep oil-based products away from the lash line, do not rub your eyes, and avoid sleeping directly on the lashes. Book refills within two to two and a half weeks, up to seventeen days.
Questions we get asked
How is a wet set different from a volume set?
Volume spreads fine extensions evenly for density. A wet set groups them into spikes, which reads as glossy and textured rather than simply full.
Is it too dramatic for everyday wear?
It is our boldest style. Plenty of clients wear it daily and love it, but if you want lashes nobody comments on, a classic or half set is the better fit.
Will it still look right as it grows out?
It softens as extensions shed. Because the look depends on spacing, it benefits from refills a little sooner than an even set does.
Can I wear mascara with it?
No, and you should not need to — the whole point of the style is that it already looks like fresh mascara. Mascara also weakens the bond.
