Soft, shaded brows rather than drawn-on hairs
Powder and ombre brows are created by implanting pigment into the skin in fine dots that build into a soft, diffused shade — the effect of brow powder applied well, not of individual hair strokes. Ombre simply means the front of the brow is left lighter and the tail deeper, which is what stops permanent brows from looking flat or blocky. Shape, density, and color are all mapped to your face before any pigment is used.
Who this service suits best
It is for filling sparse areas, redefining a shape that over-plucking took away, or retiring brow makeup entirely. It works on most skin types, including oily skin, where hair-stroke techniques often blur over time. If your brows are healthy and simply need direction or color, lamination or tint will serve you better and cost far less — we will say so.
What your appointment looks like
The appointment begins with mapping and a shape you approve before anything permanent happens — nothing starts until you are satisfied with the outline drawn on your face. Numbing is applied, then pigment is implanted gradually in layers, building depth rather than committing to it at once. Expect several hours. Results heal over the following weeks and typically need a touch-up. The $50 deposit goes toward the $400 price.
How to prepare, and who should not book
Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours beforehand, and avoid intense sun, tanning, and retinol near the brows in the preceding week. If you take blood-thinning medication, speak to your doctor first. PMU is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, during chemotherapy or radiation without medical clearance, within a year of Accutane use, if you are prone to keloid scarring, or if there is an active skin condition in the area.

How long does it last?
One and a half to two years with a touch-up, then it fades gradually. Healed results vary with skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare, and more than one session may be needed.
Will it look harsh or drawn on?
It should not. The powder technique builds soft shading rather than hard lines, and the ombre gradient keeps the front of the brow lighter, which is what reads as natural.
Does it hurt?
Numbing is used throughout and most clients describe it as very manageable. Sensitivity varies, and your artist will check in with you as the session goes.
How do I know if PMU is right for me?
